Ghana (August 29-September 9) greatly exceeded our expectations.
“Life changing” is the way I would describe this third pastors’ and spouses’ conference in Malawi.
Our team, consisting of Ivan B., Tom Chandler, Don Vinez, Connie and I, spent two weeks ministering in Ukraine and Armenia.
Lannie and Melba Green, two of our board members, along with Connie and myself flew to Lima, Peru to conduct conferences in Lima and in Tarma, on the other side of the Andes Mountains.
What a great time we had in Rwanda! The nation is still in the rebuilding process from the horrific genocide in 1994.
God assembled a great team for Malawi, which consisted of 10 people, including 4 doctors and a dentist.
Wow! Each conference is unique for the time and place. Connie and I, accompanied by Stuart and Lee Ann Hendry flew to Lusaka, Zambia where we ministered to 500 plus pastors and wives for four days.
I can still see their faces, nearly 300 pastors, mostly young men, who came to soak up God’s Word with the intent of taking it back to their people.
We can only describe our ministry in Malawi as exceeding all expectations.
It began in San Antonio as we boarded a plane with Professor John, Ofoegbu, a citizen of Nigeria now living in the States.
Connie and I, along with four others on our team (none from Wayside), returned from South Africa on April 24.
We just returned recently from conducting a conference in Croatia that was extremely well received.
We just returned from a wonderful time of ministry in Rwanda. We had a team of six of us going from Wayside.
Four of us, including Dr. Kim Milhoan, Connie, our granddaughter Kelsi Johnson, and myself, left for Zambia on Thursday, March 1.
Connie and I were invited by the Sammy Tippit Ministries, the sponsoring organization, to participate in a pastors/Christian leaders conference in N. India.
Steve and Connie returned on October 10 after ministering in southeast Romania.
Connie and I spent the last 10 days of March ministering to the EFCA missionaries in Japan.
The time in Uganda was awesome—a very encouraging start to the new ministry!
